Hawaii had been on our hearts for a long time, and when the trip finally became real, we were counting down the days ✈️💭

Bare feet 👣
Salty hair 🌊
Slow mornings without alarms ☕🌞

In our minds, it looked something like this 😍

Of course, real life with kids had other plans 🫠😅

There were early mornings 🌅, tired legs 🦵, sandy shoes 🏖️, and plenty of snack negotiations along the way 🍪😂 But instead of wishing for a quieter version of the trip, we leaned into what it actually was 🤍

Our kids seeing the ocean stretch farther than they could imagine 🌊😲
The way they treated every shell like treasure 🐚✨
The laughter that showed up in the most unexpected moments 💛

One of the most meaningful parts of the trip was sharing it with Marian 🤍🌸 Watching her travel all the way to Hawaii to stand beside us in the wedding 💍🌺 made the experience even more special. Having someone we love there so far from home, in such a beautiful place—was a reminder of how rare and meaningful those moments really are ✨

Somewhere between beach days 🏖️ and bedtime meltdowns 😴, it hit us:

This season is fleeting ⏳💔

We’re no longer in the baby years 👶, but we’re not past them either. We’re right in the middle of the years that shape memories our kids will carry forever 🤍✨

We’ve been thinking a lot about the idea that memories are investments 💭📈 Once you make them, they pay you back emotionally for the rest of your life.

Hawaii felt exactly like that 🌺💛

Not because it was perfect ✨
Not because everything went according to plan 🗺️

But because it happened now 🤍

So many of us plan carefully for the future 💰📅 We save, we prepare, we tell ourselves “someday.”

But “someday” has a way of staying just out of reach 🫠

This trip reminded us that the right experiences have a right time ⏰💫 You can’t postpone watching your kids race the waves 🌊🏃‍♀️ while they still want you right there beside them 🤍

We’re calling this season our memory-making era ✨🌴
