Hey, friend! 🤍 I’m so glad you’re here. If you had told me a year ago that I’d spend entire nights comparing pink hex codes (different tints of pink)🎨 or trying not to cry in the most inconvenient place possible 😅 all in the name of a photography rebrand… I never would’ve believed you. But that’s exactly how Evan Grace Portraits was born, through equal parts chaos, clarity, and a whole lot of “try again.”

Rebranding my photography business wasn’t planned. But it became the turning point I didn’t know I needed.

Why I Decided to Start Over With My Photography Brand

I didn’t dislike my old photography page… but it didn’t feel like me.
Not the me who’s grown creatively.
Not the me who edits while my kids sleep.
Not the me who envisions softness, intention, and emotion in every image.

My work had evolved, but my photography brand identity hadn’t caught up yet.
So I rebuilt it from the ground up.
Scary? Yes.
Necessary? Absolutely. 🤍

The Not-So-Glamorous Behind the Scenes

Rebranding sounds elegant… until you’re actually in the thick of it. I changed my color palette 47 times. I downloaded fonts at 2 a.m. like someone running a black-market typography operation 💻. More than once, a gorgeous mock-up transformed into something that looked suspiciously like a dental office brochure. Truly humbling.

But with every tweak, every softened shade, every adjusted font, every “okay, one more try” things started to click.
Slowly, the brand began to feel like home. 🕊️

I wanted warmth without heaviness.
Elegance without the ego.
Simplicity without being boring.
A space that felt intentional, calm, and welcoming.

What I Learned (So You Don’t Lose Your Mind Too) 🌿

1. Choose colors that feel like a deep breath. If they stress you out, they’re not your colors.
2. Fonts matter!!! If one letter bothers you, don’t force it. Your brand should feel like your voice. ✍️
3. Build for who you’re becoming, not who you were. Let your brand evolve with you.
4. Starting over isn’t failure. It’s awareness. Growth. Alignment. ❤️
5. Let it feel like you. Authenticity always wins.

The Heart Behind the Name: Choosing My Photography Brand Identity

Evan Grace Portraits is the truest version of my work so far. It feels aligned and intentional in how I want my clients to feel: seen, held, and elevated.

During the rebrand, I had a handful of names on my vision board that were all centered around my name:

1. Evan Grace Photography
2. Evan Grace Photo Co.
3. Forever by Evan Grace
4. Portraits by Evan Grace

Originally, I went with Evan Grace Photography to keep things simple. Then… at the very last minute…Evan Grace Portraits hit me. It instantly felt right. It became the final layer of my rebrand… the perfect cherry on top. 🍒✨
