This year, I chose to keep Christmas simple and meaningful. Instead of a full lineup of sessions, I created one intentional mini session for the three most important women in my life, their s/o and their children. It felt like the right way to honor the season slowing down, staying present, and photographing what matters most to me.

Photographing families you know well has a way of changing everything. There’s an ease that comes naturally no pressure, no rush, just room to be together. These women and their kids didn’t need much direction. The connection was already there, and it showed in the smallest moments. The way they looked at each other or reached out for each others hands.
The session itself felt calm and unforced. Soft light, gentle movement, and space for moments to unfold as they were. Nothing needed to be perfect it just needed showcase their very real love for one another.

I loved how these minis turned out because they reflect so much of what I value, both as a photographer and as a mother. These ladies have been constant sources of support, love, and strength in my life. Photographing them felt like a quiet way of saying thank you and a way to give something lasting in return.

It’s easy to forget how quickly these seasons pass. Kids grow, routines change, and what feels ordinary now becomes something we long to remember. These images hold a moment in time — simple, warm, and full of meaning.

As Christmas settles in and the year begins to slow, I’m especially grateful for this session and the people in it Erin, Ebonee, and Mariah, and the kids who make this season feel so full. These images hold exactly what December means to me right now: warmth, familiarity, and the kind of love that doesn’t need to be loud to be felt. This session will always remind me why I pick up my camera, and why photographing the people closest to my heart will never stop mattering.
